PAX France obtains FRV6.2.1 approval for "Android range" acceptance systems for contact and contactless payments

PAX Technology, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of point-of-sale terminal solutions, is pleased to announce that PAX France has successfully obtained approval from the Groupement des Cartes Bancaires (GIE-CB) for its standalone FRv6 payment application (FRv6.2.1 specifications) for both contact and contactless payments within the full range of PAX Android terminals (PAYDROID range).

This approval, issued on 6 December 2023, remains valid until the end-of-life date of these terminals.

Functionally, the PAX FRv6 contact and contactless payment application offers the flexibility to process payments through seven integrated payment schemes facilitated by FrenchSys:

• JCB
• Union-Pay
• Discover

Furthermore, it encompasses the option to make payments utilizing the C-PACE (*) contactless kernel, dedicated to facilitating contactless payments in France.
