PAX Technology Limited introduced new smart payment solutions in France last week. During the 3-day Trustech conference in Cannes, visitors to the PAX stand were able to generate QR code receipts on a wide range of Android SmartPOS and SmartECR terminals, to then automatically unlock and access a self-service drinks refrigerator by scanning their QR code via the inbuilt camera in the IM20 unattended module integrated into the vending kiosk.
"Even though the A-series and E-series terminals are not typically intended to be used in the same manner as the unattended IM-series”, said Mark O’Flynn, VP Sales at PAX,
“the innovative functionalities that today’s modern payment terminals offer, such as inbuilt cameras, super-fast printers, smartphone-like displays or hybrid contactless card readers, means they can be easily adapted to all kinds of business scenarios”.
Andrew Wu, Vice President of PAX concluded: “Our mission is to continue to invest in being the number one payment terminal design company, and what we had on show last week in France is strong testament to the capabilities and resources that PAX Technology is bringing to clients worldwide who are busy implementing forward thinking and future-proofed payment strategies.”
PAX Technology will be next exhibiting at NRF in New York, USA, on January 13-15, 2019
