PAX Technology launches innovative EV charging payment solution in the USA
PAX Technology, the world's leading payment terminal solutions provider, has announced a partnership between its USA office and ISVPay to offer American customers a first-of-its-kind Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solution utilizing the PAX IM30 Unattended Payment Terminal (UPT).
Charge to Charge is an Android-based point-of-sale application running on the IM30 UPT which directly integrates with a smart charger control board to start, stop, and monitor the flow of electricity. A web-based backend portal provides a variety of robust features including transaction reporting, remote management, and digital signage scheduling.
With its ruggedized build and IP55 rating, the IM30 UPT has a 5-inch anti-glare touchscreen and accepts all major payment methods.
Charge to Charge addresses the new California Air Resources Board (CARB) Regulations for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment requirements regarding credit card payment acceptance, labelling, and reporting. These regulations specifically require disclosure of all fees at the point of sale, credit card reader, and mobile payment via NFC reader. EV charging systems that are solely subscription and membership based will not qualify for state or federal funding.
