ZOLON by PAX Technology launches Kitchen Displays and Bump Bar for restaurants

PAX Technology, the world's leading payment terminal solutions provider, is excited to announce the release of the Elys Displays, cutting-edge Kitchen Display Systems (KDS) from ZOLON - Retail Solutions division of PAX.

Engineered for high-paced kitchen environments, this powerful Android Smart Display offers a new era in restaurant efficiency. As archaic paper systems become obsolete, PAX remains steadfast in its mission to reshape the retail landscape, seamlessly integrating back-end and front-end operations.

Designed to enhance productivity in many aspects of kitchen operations, including meal pacing, the Elys Displays are available in two models: the K2160 with a 16” display and the K2220 with a 22” display. With their large and vibrant touchscreens, these smart devices, powered by Android provide crystal-clear visibility and intuitive usability. They are rugged units with built-in controllers, and their IP55 water-proof rating guarantees exceptional protection against water and dust.

The Elys Displays easily integrate with existing and new Elys products, including the PB20 Bump Bar, the industry’s first configurable keyboard that utilizes advanced magnetic keys. The Bump Bar features aluminum housing and a sealed cover to enhance its dust-proof and water-proof capabilities. This is currently the only Bump Bar on the market that has a QuickNav Scroll Wheel using magnetic angle sensor detection technology. With 100% customizable keypad overlay and various connection methods, it easily meets customer requirements and saves on training time. Thanks to its innovative keyboard and durable construction, ZOLON was able to achieve an estimated 50 million click lifespan on the keyboard, and an IP65 rating, surpassing the specs of other vendors.

The Elys Displays are equipped with a gyroscope sensor which offer flexible positioning in both landscape and portrait orientations. The Displays can also be placed on a table-top or mounted to a wall using a VESA bracket, optimizing viewing angles and space utilization. Equipped with built-in power and Power over Ethernet (PoE) capabilities, the Elys Displays eliminate the need for additional power outlets, ensuring uninterrupted performance. Their versatile interface design enables seamless connectivity to a wide range of devices, expanding capabilities in kitchen environments.

As an Android-based solution, the Elys Displays are versatile in nature and can be used in other scenarios such as customer facing kiosks, which can in turn be integrated to payment device such as the A35 PINpad or IM Unattended Payment Terminal range.
